Kari Craft

Kari Sister Kari Craft is a member of the Hooper, Utah Stake and has been called as a stake director for the production, Arise – 2010 Youth Spectacular.   Currently Kari is serving with her husband as a Communication Specialist in their ward. She has had the opportunity to help with many dance festivals through out her life. She has a strong testimony of the Gospel and a deep love for her Heavenly Father & Savior Jesus Christ.

Perry & Sara Huffaker

Huffakers Brother Perry and Sister Sarah Huffaker have been called to serve as stake directors for the Youth Extravaganza in the Ogden Utah West Stake. Perry is currently serving as first counselor in the Stake Young Men’s presidency. Sarah is currently serving in the Cub Scout program as the Bear den mother. Perry and Sarah love to work with the youth. It helps to keep them young!

Karen Beckstead

DSC_0043 Karen Beckstead has been called to serve as the music director for the Ogden Utah West Stake in the pioneer portion of the "Arise" production 2010. She composed the music 'A Zion People' which is being used for the pioneer dance. The song came from the musical "A Place Called Home" - winner of the Ensign Deseret Cultural Arts Award in 2008. Karen is currently serving as a Young Woman’s president in the Wilson 4th ward. She has been writing musicals and composing music for 15 years.

Pam Higginson

DSC_0046 Sister Pam Higginson was called to serve as a committee member for the Ogden West and Mount Fort Stakes. As the committee made specific assignments, it was decided Pam would write and direct her stakes portion of the production. She currently serves as an advisor to the Mia Maids in the Wilson 4th Ward; she loved the opportunity to be associated with the beautiful girls in her ward. Her love and appreciation of theater has been a blessing in her life and provided countless opportunities for her to perform and direct numerous productions. A few of her greatest joys in the performing realm, is her work as a co-director of the children’s performing troupe “Class Act” and a performing member of the Drama Club of Ogden.

Sue Winter

DSC_0056 Sister Sue Winter is currently playing piano in Relief Society and leading our 10-11 year-old Activity Day girls. Sue has been involved in dance and stage productions since childhood. She continued her training as a dance major at BYU and has taught at several dance studios over the years, including her own studio for nine years. She is still teaching classical ballet in Ogden, Sue has also been active in many costuming projects, designing and sewing for groups such as the Ogden Institute Folk Dancers and the Weber High Warriorettes.

Tawnya Shaner

DSC_0049 Tawnya Shaner is the “Arise” director for the Mound Fort Stake. She is currently the young women’s president in her ward as well as the choir director. Tawnya grew up performing in singing groups and musical productions. She also enjoys performing in firesides as a member of the Jenny Phillips choir.

Daniel & Me’Chel Musgrave

DSC_0038 Daniel and Me'Chel Musgrave have been called to be the Arise directors for the Ogden Utah Weber North Stake and are thrilled to be a part of this the Lord's work! We love the Youth and can see why they are often referred to as (The Greatest Generation). Daniel serves as the Gospel Doctrine Teacher in their Ward and Me'Chel is the Relief Society President. Daniel is the President of Downtown Ogden Inc and is chairman over special events for Ogden Pioneer Days. Me'Chel Is a Singer/Song Writer with the Group Heartbound. She co/wrote the theme song "Arise" that is being used for this production.

Janet Armitt Jackson

DSC_0041 Sister Janet Armitt Jackson has been called to serve as one of the director for the Harrisville Stake. She is currently serving as an advisor in the YW program and a ward Mission Leader. Janet studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in England and has had fun sharing that talent in England, Germany and for the last thirty years in Utah.

Peggi Nielsen

DSC_0058 Sister Peggi Nielsen has been called to be the choreographer for the Ogden Utah Weber North Stake. She is currently a Relief Society teacher in her ward. She has a great love of dance and also loves working with the youth. She has had her own studio for 30 years and choreographed several stake musicals, university halftimes, and community productions.

Erik Post

DSC_0036 Brother Erik Post has been called to help with the Arise- 2010 Youth Spectacular, taking place July 17th. He is currently in the Stake Youngmen’s Presidency.  He has enjoyed working with the Youth of the Farr West Stake off and on for the past 12 years. Never has he participated in such an event as this one, but he has enjoyed watching them as a youth. Erik feels the committee is doing a fantastic job putting this together, and is glad to be a part of it. The Youth will remember this event forever.

Stacy VanOrden

DSC_0068 Sister Stacy VanOrden has been called to serve as one of the directors from the Plain City Stake. She is currently serving as the primary chorister in the Plain City First Ward. She has had the opportunity to direct and participate in several stake and ward productions. She most recently performed the lead role of Ariel in the Plain City production of "Footloose". She loves singing, dancing, and working with the youth!

Tammy McCray

DSC_0063 Sister Tammy McCray has been called as a director for the Farr West Poplar Stake. Tammy also served as a Young Women’s Pres, a counselor several times and has served in several Relief Society Presidency’s. The youth program is and has always held a special place in Tammy’s heart. She says, “The youth of today are the best of the best” and is grateful to be able to rub shoulders with them once again. They do ‘Arise and Shine Forth’, because of greatness of their spirits.

Amelia Holden

DSC_0052 Sister Amelia Holden has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since she was 8 years old. In the last 35 years she has been involved in the Young Women’s program for most of 22 years, and now serving as the Farr West YW Stake President. A bonus to her Stake YW calling she is a Farr West Stake director for the upcoming “Arise 2010 Youth Spectacular.” Amelia loves the youth very much and feels blessed to be a part of their lives.

Amie Hickenlooper

DSC_0060 Amie Hickenlooper has been called as one of the Directors for the Plain City Stake. She is currently serving as the 1st counselor in the Stake Young Women’s Presidency. Amie has been dancing and performing for as long as she can remember.  One of her favorite experiences was being able to do choreography, and perform in the Glenn Miller Show at Utah State University.  The youth of today truly impress Amie and she is so excited to share her love of performing with them.

Marilyn Ostler

DSC_0050 Sister Marilyn Ostler if from the Cottonwood Creek Ward and is serving as one of the Stake directors from the Poplar Stake. Church service has always been a big part of her life. Working with the youth programs have filled much of her time. Currently Marilyn is serving as a Primary Chorister where teaching the gospel through music is her all time favorite calling, she also enjoys the calling of Sacrament Chorister. Marilyn is humble to know that the gospel is a gospel of work. She is also grateful to Heavenly Father for the opportunity to be in his service in whatever capacity.
